This card was made for a very special friend's birthday Jan 13 (Happy birthday Cindy!) Cindy feeds the birds and has multitudes of birds visiting her yard every day! I made this card with this beautiful chickadee which I credit Ann Fitzgerald's a fellow Stampin'Up! demonstrator tutorial that you can check out here http://annscreativemoments.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/chickadee-instructions9.pdf.  Thank you Ann for a complete tutorial complete with templates using the build a bird punch.  I love Chickadees as they are always in the Wisconsin Northwoods in the winter.  They stick it out with us humans. They always make me smile! "Hidy Ho Deb!" her signature start to her tutorial videos.  :)

My brother, Matt and Pam had an anniversary to celebrate Dec 6.  Their wedding was a beautiful Christmas wedding with emerald green bridesmaids dresses and all the Christmas decorations in the church.  Absolutely stunning.  This card was inspired by Deb Valder another fellow Stampin'Up! demonstrator.  Deb is one of my favorite demos and her tutorials are so easy to find.  Thank you Deb for letting us CASE (copy and share everything) from your wonderful tutorials and tips.  Her tutorial is here
My little sister slipped on some ice in the wee hours of New Years 2015 and broke her wrist.  I wanted to make a special card to cheer her up.  I'm sorry I can't credit the stamper who inspired this card but I changed it up almost completely except the owl and broken wing. I learned of Shirley's injury by her husband, John's facebook post entitled "Momma's got a broken wing" so I thought this card was perfect for her!

I'm baaaack!  My apologies for not having posted since November but with our family Christmas celebration over Thanksgiving and then the real Christmas season, well you all know how crazy Christmas season is.  I created the card above for my dear daughter-in-law, Lexie's birthday a few weeks ago.  Lexie loves daisies and yellow so this seems just right especially since winter started awfully early here in WI.  It's just a little taste of spring to come though a few months to go!

Last and probably favorite card from the card making event 11/20/14

I inked up the Gorgeous Grunge stamp with Blackberry Bliss and then without reinking stamped 2 more times making the different shades from left to right.  I used the small flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch set.

2 more cards we made at the 11/20/14 card making event:

I stamped off once on top arc of Island Indigo, stamped center arc with Blue Lagoon then without reinking, stamped bottom arc.  Same stamping off technique used on bottom 2 zig zags. Stamped heart and then punched out with heart punch of Itty Bitty Accents set and then popped up with a dimensional.

Successful card making event yesterday with 14 women from my church group

Oops I used a retired embossing frame on this card.  You could substitute the Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Embossing folder and use the scalloped oval to punch in blackberry bliss card stock as backing for the sentiment from Wetlands and stamp the sentiment on a punched large oval of Whisper White card stock and pop it up on a dimensional to match the dimensional under mosaic punched image.

Yesterday I helped 15 women of our church group make cards. These are the sample cards I created to help guide them through the process. They split into 5 groups of 3 to make 2 cards of the design their team worked on. One card made by each woman was donated to our Social Concerns Committee to be sent to our shut ins and the other one the ladies each took home to send to a friend or family member. Only 2 of the 15 women had ever stamped before. We all had so much fun. What a delightful afternoon to spend with some lovely ladies. I love when I get to share my love of stamping. We uncovered some hidden talents today. The cards turned out great.

Whoooo turned 1?

My husband and I attended our friends' granddaughter, Hattie and Hannah's first "owl themed" birthday party last week.  I made these 2 cards so they'd each have similar cards but not exactly the same.  We had so much fun and I think my favorite part was when Hattie and Hannah got frosting and cake all over their sweet faces as they ate their owl cupcakes!

Just a few comments related to the supplies listed below:
1) I used 2 retired products when I made these cards; the ruffled ribbon and the googly eyes but you can easily substitute the washi tape and the eyes that come in the owl builder punch!  Also, I don't have the 1-3/4 inch scallop punch so I used the 2nd smallest framelit from the Framed framelits so you have your choice of the supplies listed below.  Lastly, since I made these two fairly similar cards, you can choose which one you make.  I listed the supplies I used for BOTH cards!  Hope you enjoyed these cute little owl cards!
